"Pure
faith is a spiritual conviction; it is the acquiescence of the
mind, the embodiment of an idea, the acceptance of a concept. If
we believe that the Spirit, incarnated in us, can demonstrate,
shall we be disturbed at what appears to
contradict this? We shall often
need to know that the Truth which we announce is superior
to the condition we are to change. In other words, if we are
speaking from the standpoint of the Spirit, then there can be no
opposition to It! It is only when we let go of all human
will, and recognize the pure essence of the Spiritual Principle
incarnated in us, that thought rises above a belief in duality."
What if someone
told you that two times two equals five, and that you and the
world had been brainwashed into believing the answer is four?
Would doubt creep into your mind? Would you struggle to explain
why two times two equals four? Of course you wouldn't because
you understand the Principle of Mathematics. No doubt exists in
your mind concerning the correct answer. There is a Principle,
and this Principle is changeless, universal and immutable. There
is no opposition to this Principle.
The Principle of Faith,
also is changeless, universal and immutable. Yet, too often
there are those who let doubt creep in and diminish their faith.
Why? Because the world has brainwashed us into believing in
duality. In other words, we have believed, and some still do,
that there is opposition to our faith. Now, I don't mean faith
in things that are unreasonable or foolish to have faith in;
i.e. people, places, and things. I am referring to the faith
that is established in truth and intelligence.
We read in the ancient
scriptures that "faith is the assurance of things hoped for, a
conviction of things not seen." The key word is "assurance." We
arrive at this state of mind of "assurance" by eliminating from
our mind, duality. We do this by knowing that the Law of our
very own mind, grounded in intelligence and pure faith, cannot
be denied that which it assures us is ours to have, to be, or to
do.
Keep the Faith!
