The Way to a Wonderful Life Message for November 29, 2015

Life is for living and no one can deny that to truly live we must feel the aliveness of the Spirit within us.  Nothing in life can deny the spirit that is in tune with the Infinite for it is in this state of mind we know that there are always infinite possibilities for a greater good in all things.  The powerful teacher Dr. Robert Schuler emphasized possibilities.  He said we should become possibility thinkers.  He said "the only place where your dream becomes impossible is in your own thinking."  And these are words of truth that will give rise within us to possibility thinking.  When in doubt about something take the time to think of all the possibilities that are available to the one who is in tune with infinite Intelligence.  Tune into the possibilities by refusing to think that a problem can ever be greater than that which is within you.

"Whatever is worth doing at all is worth doing to the best of your ability.  Know that the law of growth requires the full expression of your talents.  Put your whole self into each thing that you do and you will not only complete that individual task, but you open new channels for a larger expression of your talents. - Dr. Robert H. Bitzer (modified)

Along with the discovery of talents within us comes a greater enthusiasm for life.  None of us are one-dimensional beings and in truth we go beyond even being fourth-dimensional.  When the Master Mind Jesus stated that when we pray we must believe that we have, he wasn't talking about fantasizing or day-dreaming but to use our mind to accept that whatever we realize in the fourth-dimension, that which lies beyond the known physical elements, can be realized in our experience of life.  It was beyond this fourth-dimensional state of mind that Jesus multiplied the loaves and fishes.  It was called a miracle only because it was beyond human understanding and awareness.  Sometimes prayers are not answered in the way in which we desire because they do not go far enough.  Too often we allow ourselves to become half-hearted because we have failed to use the power of enthusiasm to break through the false-sense of limitation.  Emotional enthusiasm can result in disappointment, but enthusiasm based on the reality of our inner-powers causes an increasing success in all that we do.

Let's look at some more wisdom from Dr. Bitzer: "Intuition is never overpowering.  The Divine does not seize you and compel you to listen and follow its dictates.  But like your heartbeat, you have to stop what you are doing to feel its pulse.  Yet its beat is constant and persistent, always doing its work.  So, Divine Mind/Spirit sustains its continuous circulation.  We are free to accept as many of these ideas as we can use.  Eventually, we shall accept all of them."

For the person who is complacent this effort to discover and release more from within themselves seems foolish.  Yet, complacency has its downside which is a resistance to growth and it fosters confusion.  In the "Way Of Zen" we can read: "Sitting quietly, doing nothing, spring comes and the grass grows by itself."  But, if we want the grass to grow where we want it, we must put forth some effort in mind first.

More from Dr. Bitzer: "Confidence can be acquired just as you can develop greater skill in anything.  The greater your recognition of your talents the easier it will be to turn this mental energy outward in its flow.  Timidity can be mankind's greatest enemy.  Certainly you do not want to become aggressive or obnoxious, but true ability cannot be denied.  There is a law of mind that responds to you as you believe.  Your talents can be developed.  Always expect your next effort to be better than the one you have just finished."

As we put our best effort into life we shall find that life responds to us in a domino effect of making our best, better.  Let these words from the ancient wisdom, Jeremiah 29:11 fill your heart:  "For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for well-being, and not for calamity, in order to give you a future and a hope."

AND SO IT IS!

Keep the faith!
