Affirmations have great value to everyone that reads them
whether they are original to the person reading them or written
by someone else. The important thing to keep in mind is that
after reading the affirmations written by someone else is that
we ask ourselves what are the key words in the affirmation that
resonated with us. These are the words for us.
I am going to share an affirmation sent to
me for my upcoming birthday written by Dr. Robbie Smith, the
widow of Dr. O. C. Smith, and together they co-founded the City
of Angels Church of Religious Science in Los Angeles.
These are the words of Dr. Robbie Gholson
Smith:
God guides and guards every step I take.
Even as I think my word the law is in action. My belief and
faith are truly in “It is done unto me as I believe!” Today I
release the old in order to provide a birthplace for new ideas
and expressions of life. Because of this, my divine nature (who
I am) is on display and I truly give thanks. And so it is.
In reading this affirmation I found more than
a few words that resonated with me. The next time I read it I
may find different words that resonate with me. This is the way
our mind works. Whenever we read or write affirmations, the
state of our mind in the moment we are reading it will always
determine which words have power for us.
This is an affirmation I wrote myself:
PRAYER IS MY ACCEPTANCE OF GOOD
Praying from the Infinite “I” within me, I know and recognize
that I am touching the Spirit within me … compelling me to
accept the very Good that I imagine for myself at all times. In
this realization that the “I” within me is the same “I”
infinitely individualized within everyone, I know that this “I”
… which Is Spirit, works through me, attracting to me, everyone
and everything necessary for my complete and whole expression of
Life. In this heightened awareness of Infinite Good … I
transcend any idea or thought of separation from my Good and
realize my Oneness with the All-Good fully and completely in my
Life now. I know that everyone who enters the “world of my
thoughts” … is there to be blessed and in blessing them, I Am
blessing me … and in this understanding I know and realize that
my every prayer is an acceptance of my Good, now. And So It Is.
… Amen.
From this affirmation we can embody a greater
acceptance of our Good. Think about the words, “the world of my
thoughts” and imagine what that means for you personally. What
has filled your mind today … most importantly, what thoughts
have dominated your mind today? We can release the ones that no
longer serve us and impress our subconscious more powerfully
with the ones that do.
