We can find
in scripture, "as a man thinketh, so is he" ... the same
applies to women, of course. But, many of us walk around with our
mind filled with ... what we think are the opinions of others. We
are so concerned about what other people "think" of us ...
what their opinion is of us ... and for many of us, this results in hurt
feelings, resentment and oftentimes bitterness towards other people ... BUT
NONE OF THIS IS TRUE.
There
was a popular little book out a few years ago that many people read
titled, "The Four Agreements." Agreement #2 states: Don’t
Take Anything Personally - "Nothing
others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of
their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions
and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless
suffering." Sounds good in theory ... BUT
NONE OF THIS IS TRUE.
The
theories above represent the "human view" of Life ... and for
many of us this is the only part of Life that we understand so we stay
fixated to these concepts and ideas and become so emotionally charged-up
that we run out and buy books ... go to self-help seminars and worse
yet, psychologists or psychoanalysts ... to solve our
problems. It may make us feel better to think that "what
others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own
dream" ... but this is "illusion" thinking that leads to
"delusion" thinking. Like so much of what we find in
self-help books and quasi-spiritual books ... so much is written
that "protects the ego" rather than teaches us to transcend
our problems and move into a greater experience of the Good Life.
Dr. Holmes wrote in the 1926 Original Science of Mind: "As the
belief in duality has robbed theology of its greater message, so it has
robbed much of the philosophy of the ages of a greater truth; for in
philosophy the belief in duality has created a confusion that is almost
as great as that in theology. It has made a philosophy of good and
evil in which men have come to believe. True philosophy in every
age, however, has perceived that the Power back of all things must be
One Power; and the clearer the thought of Unity, the greater has been
the philosophy."
In other words, our belief that someone else can be negative or attempt
to hurt us in some way, comes from a belief in duality ... good and
evil. It is evil-ness in someone that would "cause" them
to say something hurtful or do something negative to me ... to cause me
to suffer??? .... this is what most of us have spent our lives
believing. And the quasi-spiritual book authors will hold us to
this false-belief if we are not careful. As Jesus stated,
"the blind leading the blind." Whenever we have an
experience of someone stating something negative to us or attempting to
do something seemingly harmful to us ... it is not them ... it is the
Universe reflecting back to us what we "feel about ourselves"
at a sub-conscious level ... a level that we are not aware of
consciously ... but the negative is "within" us ... and must
demonstrate until it is eliminated from our consciousness. If
someone calls me "stupid" ... I must look honestly at my life
and figure out what it is that I am being "foolish" about ...
the other person doesn't know ... they are merely the
"mouth-piece" for the Universe. Rather than react with
hurt feelings, resentment or bitterness, we must bring the situation or
condition into the Light of Understanding. The person is merely
the messenger ... neither good or evil ... just the messenger. And
just like Jesus needed Judas ... we need these messengers sometimes to
bring the reflection to our attention so that we can heal it and
eliminate it from our consciousness before it gets out of control.
We must always keep in mind the Principle, "I have loved thee with
an ever-lasting Love" ... would a God who loves us with an
ever-lasting Love allow seeming negatives to manifest in our experiences
if it were not a "loving" thing to do? Of course not.
We have the dominion over our conditions and experiences ... and we can
heal whatever it is that comes to us ... no matter what is said about us
... or what negatives appear in the conditions of our lives ... but we
cannot heal what we do not know ... we can only heal it ... if we
realize that it must be healed. And as we begin the process of
healing, God's ever-lasting Love Is with us all the way.
One of the slogans of
metaphysical teachings is "change your thinking and change your
life" ... but we have learned so many foolish things and created so
many inventions that separate us from the Truth of Life ... that merely
changing our thinking is not enough ... we must look at our beliefs
... look at the concepts which guide our lives ... look back at our life
and see if we are repeating the same experiences over and over again ...
WE MUST... RELEASE THE FALSE IDEAS NO MATTER WHO
TOLD US THEY WERE THE TRUTH ... FORGET THE FALSE IDOLS OF SELF-HELP BOOK
AUTHORS AND SPIRITUAL GUIDES ... FORGET OUR PSYCHIC FRIENDS ... AND
LEARN TO LIVE FROM OUR CONSCIOUSNESS EVEN IF IT MEANS WE MUST DO AN
EXTREME MAKEOVER OF EVERYTHING WE HAVE EVER BELIEVED AND BREAK EVERY
SINGLE HABITUAL THOUGHT WE THINK! ... AND THEN ... WE CAN BEGIN TO
TRULY LIVE POWERFULLY, JOYFULLY AND WITH UNINHIBITED
ENTHUSIASM!!!!!!!!!!!
And
So It Is!
Maximum Love,
