Our Foundation Spiritual Principles:

  • G-d (Intelligence, Power, Spirit) is Absolute Good, everywhere present.
  • Every human being is an expression of the divine; the Christ Spirit, by whatever name, indwells all people. Their very essence is of G-d, and therefore they are also inherently good.

  • Human beings create their experience by the activity of their thinking. Everything in the manifest realm has its beginning in thought.

  • Prayer is creative thinking that heightens the connection with G-d-mind and therefore brings forth wisdom, healing, prosperity and everything good.

  • Knowing and understanding the laws of life, also called Truth, are not enough. A person must also live the Truth that he or she knows.

Weekly Message for July 11, 2021

I am fairly certain that most people who read my Weekly Messages spend time each day in either meditation or sitting in the Silence. I have been advocating these spiritual practices for many years now in these Weekly Messages. I also advocate affirmation, either in the form of affirmative statements or following the process of spiritual mind treatment. I advocate for these as I know personally, and have received feedback from many, many people that they are an effective way to manifest what we choose to have, to be, and to do. The thing though, is that we must not let out thoughts stray from what we affirm, silently claim, or pray for. And this can be tricky for most people.

          "
A new study from psychologists at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada reports observations of the transition from one thought to another in fMRI brain scans. Though the researchers didn't detect the content of our thoughts, their method allowed them to count each one. Referred to as "thought worms," the team says that the average human has 6,200 thoughts per day."

Referring to this new Study, just the thought that we have over 6,000 thoughts each day is amazing. Now I understand why Dr. Ernest Holmes stated we should affirm "good and more good is mine" a thousand times each day if necessary to manifest something good. The positive way to look at this number of thoughts, however, is to know that most of our thoughts are positive and focused on the good. The other positive regarding this Study is that we can examine what triggers our mind to create negative thoughts; i.e. watching or reading too many News articles. There are a myriad of ways in which we can guide our mind to register more positive thoughts, and also more negative thoughts. Which one we choose will depend on our attitude or state of mind each day.

How many of these 6,200 thoughts you had yesterday do you remember? Most of us remember only a few. Are your dominant thoughts positive or negative? This we must know for ourselves. This knowledge will give us insight into whether our affirmations, silent meditations, and prayers are doing their perfect work, or not.

In his book titled "Dominant Mind," Dr. Robert H. Bitzer, a master of the Law of Mind, writes; "How do you handle domination? How are you being dominated? This question may make you bristle, because your instant reaction is, "Nothing dominates me. I am free; I am independent; no one has control over me at all."
You may not realize it, but nevertheless, you are dominated .... perhaps by people, perhaps by things, perhaps by thoughts. Life is choice, and you always choose the level on which you function and are subject to beliefs that dominate that level."

Rather than think of yourself in terms of "labels" that the world has attached to you, think of yourself as consciousness, or the soul that knows and has the awareness that your thoughts and your mind rule your life experiences. Your power of awareness, will govern these 6,200 thoughts in ways you may not now can imagine.

Keep the Faith!
