Now
that we have gone through three weeks of accepting new ideas in our
consciousness, we can all know together that what we "pray
from" is far more important than what we "pray to."
In scripture we can read, "closer to you than breathing" ...
this Presence that is "closer to us than breathing" ... is God
... God-In-Me, God-In-You, God-In-Everyone ... All-In-All. As we
"recognize" that this is the Truth, we can "loose"
the doubts in our mind and "choose" that which we desire to
experience, to have and to do, from a "Knowing" that
demonstrates in our Life experiences in truly wonderful ways.
However,
our "choosing" must be in alignment with Universal Law ... a
Law that cannot be manipulated or changed. If our prayer is for
more happiness, we must be willing to forget our history of happiness
and be willing to accept happiness in a new form, a new set of
circumstances. The Infinite does not imitate circumstances through
us. No matter what we have thought would make us happy ... our
happiness may come from something or through someone totally different
than we ever expected. If our prayer is for success, we need not
look at what the world calls "competition" ... there is no
reality to competition ... no one does anything the same way as another
... our success will come from the Infinite Ideas that flow through our
mentalities that create through us something new and unique.
When we study the method of Scientific
Prayer, the method that Dr. Holmes discovered that the Master Mind Jesus
used, we will find no fault with this method. It is clear.
It is direct. But ... it takes Faith for it to be effective.
Why? Because at some point we must "release" our prayer
to God ... release it. Not stubbornly hold on to how the results
must look ... or how the demonstration must unfold. Many of us
have struggled over the years to "make" something happen ...
and the only thing we accomplished was that we "blocked" God,
Infinite Mind, from working "through us" to manifest the very
happiness, joy, success and love that we prayed for. We must
"surrender" ... the results to God ... we must
"trust" with an absolute Faith in God, Infinite Spirit.
What
we are "praying from" Is Spirit ... happiness, joy, love,
confidence, understanding and harmony ... these are the Spirit of God
made manifest "within" each of us ... the very Image and
Likeness of God. The Master Mind Jesus stated, "when you see
me, you see the Father." In other words, when you see any of
us, you see the Indwelling Spirit of God. It is this Indwelling
Spirit that we must "pray from." If we are depressed,
bitter, resentful, frustrated or sad ... this is the "spirit"
in which we are praying from ... and we can only manifest at the level
of spirit that we are "praying from." Do we want more
sadness? ... more frustration ... or more resentment? ... in our lives.
Of course not. So we must move into the Silence of our thoughts
and "convince" ourselves into a state of mind that creates
with enthusiasm, love, joy and understanding. In this elevated
state of mind, not only can we "lift up" ourselves ... but we
have the power to "lift up" those we love and care about.

the Book of James, 1st Chapter -
2Consider
it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because
you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance
must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking
anything. 5If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who
gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to
him. 6But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt,
because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the
wind. 7That man should not think he will receive anything
from the Lord; 8he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he
does. ... 12Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial,
because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life
that God has promised to those who love him.
"Desire"
is God tapping on our hearts to tell us what It wants to "express
through" us ... when we make a "decision" to do that
which we desire ... this decision says "yes, God" I am ready
for You to work "through me." This "decision"
is best kept secret between us and God. When we make a decision,
we make a pattern and the Universe needs a pattern to work on.
Then we must move forward in faith "counting it all as joy"
knowing that the testing of our faith teaches patience ... as sometimes
we are not ready and we are coming from "wanting" ... not
"waiting on the Lord (our consciousness)." God does not
make mistakes ... so we can move forward with confidence, joy and Divine
expectation knowing that we are Living In the Love Of God!
