This week I started listening to a YouTube video of "The
Illusion of Money" which is a preview of a book titled "The
Illusion of Money" by Kyle Cease. After reading all the
comments regarding the book, both positive and negative, I
decided to buy the book and see what it contains that has made
Kyle Cease so very popular with spiritual seekers. He
reminded me of don Miguel Ruiz' "The Four Agreements" and
Rhonda Byrne's "The Secret" and the popularity that both
received from their books. I am always open and receptive
to other teachers ideas about spiritual principles and concepts
so I am looking forward to reading his book. I don't agree
with all that he is teaching as I am sure there are those that
don't agree with all that I teach, but from what I have
previewed his work is interesting. I will have more on
this in next week's Weekly Message.
In his video Kyle Cease discusses the idea of meditating or
being in the silence for 8 hours. This is an interesting
idea and although I have not only read of this before but have
actually practiced a day of silence, I remain unconvinced that
this will change or enlarge our capacity to allow the ideas and
thoughts to come to us that will bring significant change in our
lives; especially abundance. My "opinion" is based on the
fact that if silent meditation alone could expand our prosperity
consciousness Buddhist Monks would all be wealthy or at least
very happy. A day of silence however does give us an
opportunity to clear our mind if we are experiencing extreme
worry or anxiety. At first though it appears to be very
easy, but due to our human conditioning it requires a commitment
and conviction.
Another benefit of going into the silence for a duration of
hours is to give ourselves the opportunity to go deep within our
mind to realize more about who we are and what we really
think/believe about our own self and perhaps also where we are
in life. As I was thinking about this the lyrics to the
song "Nice To Be With You" came to mind: "Oh, it's so nice to be
with you, I love all the things ya say and do. And it's so
nice to hear you say, You're gonna please me in every way."
Imagine if we could just say this about our self, because that,
in reality, is all that really matters ... how we feel about
ourselves ... "oh, it's so nice to be with me" ... this is not
for the ego, this is a message we want to give to our soul.
.............. please.
Keep the Faith!
