I
have read and studied most of the books attributed to the
teachings of the great American healer, Joel Goldsmith. He never
wrote most of the books that have his name attached to them but
they are all filled with words from his lectures and classes. He
was a spiritual practitioner that arose from the Christian
Science organization to become the most prolific of spiritual
practitioners. His teachings generally lean toward the mystical
rather than practical metaphysics. I was told early on in my
spiritual studies that his teachings were for the more
enlightened among us. I think we can assume that level of
enlightenment as we read/study the following from the book
"Awakening Mystical 'Consciousness":
Isaiah must have had the healing gift because he said, "The
Spirit of of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath
anointed e to preach good tidings unto the meek
(teachable); he hath sent me to
bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives."
He knew there were no other gods before Me. The I of his being
was the infinity of being, and there were no other powers.
A mystic of that attainment will not say, "Oh, the power of God*
works through me to heal you" or "God will heal you." He
know God never healed anybody or anything. What would you think
of a God who would heal one person and not all persons?
The sinners usually have the best record of being healed, while
it would appear that God has not healed the countless good men
and women on earth.
It is a person's realization that disease is not a power that is
responsible for healing. That is why Jesus did not say, "God
will heal you." He said, "And ye shall know the truth, and the
truth shall make you free." He did not say, "God will forgive
you." He said, "Neither do I condemn thee; go, and sin no more."
Most modern mystics like Whitman and Tennyson were not healers
because they did not have the vision of God as the Only and the
Infinite. They had God and error, too; they had God and
something from which God could protect or save people. They had
God and something of which God could heal them, but that is not
the fully mystical awareness of Jesus Christ
(Christ consciousness).<> Note: the
words in red are my insertion and not from the book/ the
* denotes that the spelling of God
is Joel's and not mine.
Joel is getting us acquainted with the mystical awareness of the
Master Mind Jesus which was an expanded awareness from that of
the mystical Isaiah. The most mystical statement from Isaiah is
"besides me there is none other" informing us that G-d Is All
and All Is G-d. The Master Mind Jesus came into this realization
to a greater degree than any other mystic that I am aware
of. I assure you that we can partake of this All-ness of the
Intelligence, Power and Spirit that we call G-d for lack of a
better word. All we must do is seek the Intelligence in the
silence of our mind and seek the Power of Life in this very same
silence. As within, so without. If we don't go within we will
definitely go without. Seek the Spirit with your mind and your
heart. Make G-d your One and Only for in truth that is what G-d
Is.
Keep the Faith!
