“Remember
God is the silent Power behind all things, always ready to pour into our
experience that which we need. We must have a receptive and
positive faith in the evidence of things not seen with the physical eye
but which are eternal in the heavens. All is Mind, and we must
provide a receptive avenue for It, as It passes out through us into the
outer expression of our affairs. If we allow the world's opinion
to control our thinking, then that will be our demonstration! If,
on the other hand, we rise superior to the world, we shall create a new
pattern. ... The Universe is the result of the Self-Contemplation of
God. Our lives are the result of our self-contemplations, and are
peopled with the personifications of our thoughts and ideas.
Accept this without question for it is true."
- Dr. Ernest
Holmes, The Science of Mind
No matter what it is that we aspire to do, our receptivity to
Creative Mind will determine our progress toward our goal and our
demonstration of it in our lives. Just how much we accept, is just
how much we receive. "To whom much is given, much is
required" ... and so we know that we must act on the ideas that
come to us from Creative Mind. Dr. Bitzer taught that we must act
quickly when we receive ideas or otherwise we lose sight of them and our
enthusiasm diminishes. It is important that we take action
immediately, even if the only action we take is to write down the idea.
Often, so many thoughts enter our minds that ideas can slip from our
awareness and are soon forgotten. It is not unusual for someone to
find that someone else has done something noteworthy and remember that
they had that idea themselves ... but didn't act on it.
In order to demonstrate genuine success we can
look to an instruction from the Master Mind Jesus, "I of mine own
self can do nothing" ... and in this statement is the key to
genuine success. We must realize within our mind that we do not
have the power to create success ... we have only the ability to use the
Power that creates success ... through us, as us, and for us. We
must eliminate within our mind the "sense" of ego power and
human effort. These "sense" illusions can cause us to
use manipulation to gain success which can result in fear of loss of the
very success we have obtained. Using
"self-contemplation" we can contemplate in our mind how our
success will manifest and as we do, more ideas will come to us to expand
our success to a greater measure than perhaps we have first imagined.
This "self-contemplation" aligns us with the only Intelligence
in the Universe, God.
As we depend on Principle, knowing
that Principle knows and does, we achieve "genuine success" in
whatever endeavor we choose to express success. We cannot fail with
Principle, for there is no failure in God. With this assurance we can
experience the success we seek in our work, our finances, our relationships or
whatever area of our lives we seek to express a greater measure of success.
"Man's mind is the Mind of God functioning at
the level of man's understanding of his place in the Universe. Man
contacts the Mind of God at the center of his own being. It is
useless to seek elsewhere. "The Highest God and the
inner-most God is One God." Through the medium of Mind man
unifies with the Universe and contacts a Power that can do anything for
him that he is able to conceive of Its doing. Of course, this
Power will never deny Its own Nature."
... writes Dr. Holmes in
"The Science of Mind".
Working with the Power of
God, our success never diminishes or takes away the success of another.
Neither does our success interfere with the Universal Good for this
would be out of Principle. Our "genuine success" always
benefits everyone and leaves no one out. This is the only way to
demonstrate "genuine success" ... there is no other way.
AND
SO IT IS!
Keep
the faith!
