"The
law of prosperity is beautifully expressed by the Psalmist when he says,
"His delight is in the law of the Lord; and in this law doth he
meditate day and night." (Psalm 1:2) ... Prosperity means to
increase our capacities and abilities along all lines and in every
direction so that we release our inner powers. The promotion, the
money, and the contacts you wish to make are the images and likenesses,
as well as the physical forms of the states of mind which produce
them."
- Dr.
Joseph Murphy, Author, Minister
" Let
them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: Yea, let
them say continually, Jehovah be magnified, Who hath pleasure in the
prosperity of his servant."
- Psalm
35:27, The Holy Bible
Our ideas about
prosperity are shaped in many ways by our experiences and the people who
are a part of our life. Whatever we give our attention to, becomes
"real" for us, and so many of us must begin to shift our
awareness away from our past experiences and the people we know and
expand our awareness of the vast potential for prosperity that is
realized by people from all walks of life. Whatever our measure of
belief, that is the measure in which we can expect to prosper. And
for many of us, this measure of belief is to get a new job, or a
promotion, or an increase in compensation. Others of us, seek to
demonstrate a tremendous change in our level of realized prosperity and
so we must strengthen our conviction that not only are all things
possible, but also possible for us personally.
This much we already know, whatever we
can imagine for ourselves, already exists ... we must just lift our
"awareness" to "having it" right now. Our
prosperous thought is always of something that is available ... it is
ready for us to claim it. It may not be the job we have, or the
idea that we have in our mind right now of the perfect job. Our
promotion or our increased compensation, may not be available to us in
the company that we are presently employed at, but it is available.
What all of this means is that we must be willing to be receptive to
change; changing jobs, using skills and abilities that we have yet to
have realized that we have. And most of all, loosing the
"limitations" in our mind in favor of the unrealized potential
that is within us.
Let's look at these words from Dr. Joseph
Murphy and take a few moments to think about how they apply to us,
personally: "The faculty of
image-making is called imagination. It is one of the primal
faculties of mind and has the power to project and clothe our ideas,
giving them visibility on the screen of space. We can discipline,
control, and direct our imagination constructively and get what we want
in life, or we can use it negatively and imagine what we don't want in
life. The mental images which we contemplate and consciously
accept as true are impressed on our subconscious mind (soul) and made
manifest in our life. ... Imagination is the mighty instrument used by
famous scientists, artists, poets, physicists, inventors, architects,
and mystics. When the world says, "It is impossible, it can't
be done," the person with vivid imagination says, "It is
done!"
How often do we imagine ourselves having,
doing, or being the thing that we want, and then declare, "it is
done!"? This Thing Called Life is like a blank canvass
waiting for us to "picture" the life that we desire upon it
and to declare that it is made manifest now. It is from someone's
imagination that everything new that we see has become made manifest.
Our imagination can free us or imprison us. It is always a choice
that we make in the use of our mind. There is no transformation or
transcendent change without using our imaging faculties of mind first.
The images in our mind precede the prayer, the thoughts and the words
that allow us to realize greater prosperity and all things good that we
desire to experience.
Imagination takes our power of awareness into the
great Un-Seen and those who have made constructive use of it have
realized not only what they initially were seeking, but that something
"greater still" that only the Intelligence of G-d could make
known to them. This is why the Master Mind Jesus stated, "you
are the light of the world" ... the "light"
symbolizes our ability to tap into the Intelligence that creates and
makes manifest ... to use this Intelligence to manifest that which is
invisible to the unbeliever, but a very real
potential for those who have the conviction of faith.
From the great Dr. Frank Richelieu (The Art of
Being Yourself): "No matter what
adverse circumstances or hardships we may encounter, by the right use of
the imagination, we can get ourselves out of any predicament. By
using our imagination to work in harmony with Life, we are working with
Truth. The results have to be favorable."
Whatever favorable result we can imagine
for any situation or circumstance we may face, is energized by our
desire and how appealing this result is to us. We cannot let our
imagination create confusion but must establish a pattern in our mind
that fosters images of success, health, happiness, love and prosperity.
We have the power within us to manifest prosperity
... but we must believe that we do and we must believe this every day.
AND
SO IT IS!
Keep
the faith!
